What’s included

Everything the afternoon needs, in one building.

A planned rhythm of care, food, homework support, and creativity around your child’s school day.

  • Doors open at 6:00 AM

Before Care runs 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, so an early shift is never a problem.

  • Real food, from our own kitchen

Breakfast and a hot afternoon meal prepared in the venue’s commercial catering kitchen — not pre-packed snacks.

  • Homework gets done here

A supervised homework hour with staff on hand every afternoon, so your evening at home is yours.

  • Transportation from partner schools

We’re working with local elementary schools on pickup routes. Ask us whether your child’s school is covered.

  • Trained, background-checked staff

Our team holds Maryland school-age teacher and assistant-teacher credentials, with first aid and CPR certification.

  • Arts built into every afternoon

Not a rotating sampler — actual instruction in a chosen discipline, working toward a performance.

The arts half

Your child picks a discipline and actually learns it.

Time to return to a skill, try a new idea, and make something worth sharing. The team will confirm which disciplines are available each term.

  • Dance
  • Music
  • Theater
  • Visual Arts
  • Media Arts
  • Creative Technology
  • Culinary Arts

Which disciplines run depends on the term and on enrollment. Ask about planned disciplines.

Licensing and capacity

Grace’s Community Arts operates as a licensed school-age child care program under the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Child Care, with a licensed capacity of 60 children and a staffing pattern filed with the state. Places are limited by that capacity, so early enquiries matter.

Questions about ratios, credentials, or our staffing pattern are welcome — call our team on (240) 636-4134.
